BREAKING CRIME NEWS!! Arrest made in Gretchen Harrington's murder 7/24/2023

 

Retired minister David Zandstra 83 of Marietta, GA was arrested and charged in the 1975 murder of Gretchen Harrington in Delaware, PA. He is charged with first-, second- and third-degree murder and kidnapping. Gretchen Harrington went missing in mid-August 1975 while walking home from bible camp at the church David Zandstra was working. Usually accompanied by her sisters but was alone on this day because of a recent birth in the family was offered a ride home by Zandstra. Instead of taking her home he took her to a wooded area and struck her in the head. After she went missing, friends and family started searching including Zandstra who was also the one that called 911. Her body was found months later in mid-October. An unnamed friend of Gretchen was the one that led state police to travel and interview Zandstra who confessed to the crime.
